Will resizing reduce image quality?
Scaling always changes pixels, but this tool uses progressive multi-step downsampling, which keeps results noticeably sharper than a single-step resize — especially for large reductions like 4000 px to 800 px.
What formats can I resize?
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP and AVIF all work as inputs, and you can export to a different format than you started with.
Is there a file size limit?
No hard limit — the image is processed on your own device, so the real ceiling is your device’s memory. Extremely large photos on older phones may be scaled down for stability.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes — drop or select multiple files and a “Download all (ZIP)” button appears. Set the size once and it applies to every image: by width, by height, or as a percentage, each keeping its own aspect ratio. Everything still runs locally.
Can I resize an iPhone HEIC photo?
Yes — drop a HEIC file and the photo is decoded locally via libheif (no upload), then resized and re-encoded in your chosen format. The first HEIC of the session takes a moment because the decoder loads on demand; every one after is instant.
