FAQ

When would I need transparent padding?

Anywhere the background behind the image isn’t white — marketplaces, avatar rings, or composing images on top of other designs.

How is the padding measured?

In pixels of the original image, added equally on all sides. A 1000×800 image with 50 px padding becomes 1100×900.

Can I use it to make a white border for printing?

Yes — set the fill to a color, choose white, and export as PNG or JPEG.
